WPWebHost Review and Customer Experience
Reviews 0 CommentsMillions of web designers and site owners use WordPress because it makes online publishing easier than ever before. Several years ago and before WordPress came into popular use, creating websites was a major pain in the rear. Sure, there are WYSISWYG web editors that allow you to create websites without touching a single line of HTML code, but aside from that, putting your website live on the Internet required technical know-how. The arrival of WordPress and other Content Management Systems (CMS) meant that ordinary website owners can now create and develop websites easier and quicker than it used to be.
A lovely but powerful piece of software such as WordPress requires the best possible web hosting. The minimum server requirements for the latest version of WordPress (version 3.2) are PHP version 5.2.4 or greater and MySQL version 5.0 or greater. Most web hosting companies meet the requirements for WordPress installations, but if you want the best possible web hosting for your WordPress blog, you might want to check out WPWebHost, a web hosting company that offers fully optimized web servers tailor made for WordPress.
You might ask, “What is the difference between ordinary web hosting and WordPress-optimized hosting?” After all, you can install WordPress on any web hosting account, right? Well, the difference is that you will get the best compatibility and maximum performance of your WordPress sites if you host them on WPWebHost. You might already knew that you need to install a few (or many!) plugins to enhance the power of your WordPress site. WPWebHost’s servers are fully optimized and tailor made for WordPress, to ensure that your sites are running smoothly and plugins are not causing any problems, provided that the plugins used are compatible with the latest version of WordPress.
Aside from their WordPress-optimized servers, their friendly support staff will readily help you with any questions and problems regarding WordPress, or any web hosting issue for that matter. If your WordPress site shows some errors, you can ask for assistance from their support team and they will help you pinpoint the cause of the problem and solve it. They claim to have personnel who are experts in WordPress, so you can take comfort in the fact that they can help you with any issues or problems that may arise.
WPWebHost also guarantees faster loading times for your websites with their free Content Delivery Network (CDN) technology. This is particularly useful if you have websites with lots of content and graphics.
My Personal Experience With WPWebHost
I’ve been a customer of WPWebHost in the past and I’ve been extremely happy with their service. I used to host my personal blog with a locally-based web hosting company, but due to limitations in disk space and bandwidth, I began looking for a better hosting service. I initially decided on one popular web hosting company but I balked at the steep monthly payments. Good thing I came across a promotion by WPWebHost wherein they offered huge 90% discounts to the first few customers. With nothing to lose, I quickly took advantage of the offer and paid $8 for one year of web hosting.
After signing up, I realized that I was a total moron when it comes to transferring my website. I tried importing the MySQL database but got several errors. So I contacted WPWebHost asking for assistance in transferring my website to my new web hosting account. In less than 24 hours, they successfully transferred everything – the themes, plugins, content, image, everything!
Every time I have problems with my website, I send a support ticket and they always try their best to help me. They will even go into your account to solve your site’s problems, although I don’t recommend it unless you fully trust them. I was so happy with their service that I joined their affiliate program and promoted their service on my blog, for which I earned several commissions.
My relationship with WPWebHost ended a few months ago because I wasn’t able to afford the yearly renewal fee, but if they will give me another chance at a discount, I will gladly go back to them. They’ve been friendly folks and because they are a small company, they will give their customers a more personalized service.
WPWebHost – Is It Worth It?
Is WPWebHost worth it? Absolutely! Although their prices are a little bit higher than other web hosting services, I think that you’ll get great value for your money. If you’re planning to create several WordPress sites, WPWebHost is an excellent choice not only because of their WordPress-optimized servers, but also for the invaluable support and assistance from their team of WordPress experts. Personally, I wouldn’t mind paying extra for excellent support.
The only drawback as far as I can see is that their shared hosting plan (Freedom Plan) is limited to 50 GB disk space and 500 GB bandwidth. The number of add-on domains you can add is only 50. When compared to other web hosting services which offer unlimited disk space and bandwidth, WPWebHost may pale in comparison. However, unlimited is not really unlimited in the truest sense of the word. Companies offering unlimited disk space usually have limits on the number of files (or nodes) allowed in your account. WP Web Host, as far as I know, doesn’t limit the number of files you can host, as long as your sites don’t use an excessive amount of resources.
If you are worried about the limitations in their shared hosting plans, you might want to take a look at their VPS (Rockstar Plan) and dedicated server (VIP) plans. Their shared hosting plan costs as low as $7.95 per month, while their VPS and dedicated server plans start at $44.95 per month and $270 per month, respectively.
If you have any questions about WPWebHost, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will try my best to help you.
